People all laughed when I told them I was going to watch Transformers for the second time. They don’t seem understand.
It's so fun trying to recite every line of that movie, like what I had done with the cartoon version in elementary school. That's something you could show off to other kids. Talks usually began like this: Did you watch Transformers?...Optimas Prime said... Megatron said... and they fought like this.... Then all kids joined in and started the rehearsal of Transformers.
There was a time that watching Transformers had been the most important HOMEwork for all boys, and vice versa the ultimate punishment by parents. Every kid wanted to be autobots and kept playing this save-human game like it will never stop. Well, what an innocent age.
Transformers stands for the simple world in an American way. Once decided which side is evil, fight in the name of Protect. That’s the only way human world got saved. Simple and Straight, I bet Bush Jr is a fan of Transformers’. Let’s take a look at other cartoons. Japanese is fascinated about putting their sentimental heroes in a position of suffering and emphasizes in details what had they gone through. Chinese usually describes specifically the insidiousness of enemies and the intelligence of heroes. One thing in common with all of these cartoons: the winner is justice. As for the real world, is it so easy to tell the difference between good and evil? Do we know enough before we judge? And who gave us the right to intervene in other people’s lives?
Need to stop before taking this movie too seriously. I am getting more and more Diogenes. At the beginning I just want to recall the childhood precious. Transformers had given much more than expected. When the movie came to the end, I thought of in cartoons the Deceptions usually call out the come back words. To tell the truth, I always felt a little disappointed. Why can’t they just win one battle?
One more question: am I evil?
